3-Way, 15-Inch Floorstanding Loudspeaker
 
Derived from JBL's landmark Project K2 9800 and 5800 loudspeakers, no holds were barred in designing the S4800 loudspeaker system. Intended for spaces where the larger loudspeakers would be inappropriate, the S4800 includes a massive 15" Kevlar®-composite low-frequency driver with a 4-inch edge-wound voice coil designed to handle long, loud listening sessions without overheating or distortion. The 3" aluminum high-frequency and 1" pure-titanium ultrahigh-frequency compression drivers are mounted in a unique SonoGlass™ rapid-flare BiRadial® horn for improved directionality and smooth, linear transitions. These drivers are capable of reproducing today's digital program materials up to the 40kHz range.
